Happy Goat Coffee & Doughnuts Co. (Westboro) – Cozy Café with Gourmet Donuts and Quality Coffee in Ottawa

This cafe is kept very clean and organized. The staff is nice and willing to answer questions. They also have a mavericks doughnut connected to it which is convenient. The coffee was good and my family loved the doughnuts. Unfortunately I couldn’t try the doughnuts myself because they do not offer gluten free options. Overall great experience.

Ever since moving to the area, this Happy Goat has become my go-to spot. As a PhD student, I love the perfect combination of intimate warmth and spacious layout, complemented by great lofi music and exceptional coffee. The staff is always cheerful and eager to help. Everything here feels calming and thoughtfully curated, from the floral arrangements to the blankets and pillows scattered on wooden benches. You don't get the bougie experience of being too cool for school, nor the try-hard hipster vibe—just a beautiful balance of comfort and energy. Plus, they're one of the rare places that stays open past 4-5pm! I've explored different coffee shops around the neighborhood, but this one keeps drawing me back.

Delicious gourmet donuts and coffee, what a delicious pairing. We tried the apple fritter donut and the sugar topped donut. Donuts would benefit from being a bit warmer, but they were both delicious with the apple fritter being the star of the show. You can get their coffee beverages either hot or cold and they do have cream, milk, and honey to add on the side. Cute pew seating and bright cafe makes for a great place to go to catch up with friends or read a book (when less busy).

One of my favourite cafés, they have great donuts and a couple of the baristas make perfect drinks - shoutout to the guy with long hair. Love when he’s working. Although I do wish they would enforce the rule they have posted about patrons not taking Zoom calls. It is very disturbing when the odd person decides that their comfort is more important than everyone else’s in the cafe and that they should be allowed to break the “no Zoom calls rule.” I understand that it maybe uncomfortable for the employees to have to confront these entitled people, but it may be necessary for the sake of all of the customers who are respectful and mindful of the space.

Really delicious donuts with a wide variety to pick from too, I also really love the atmosphere the coffee shop provides, which is relaxing and welcoming. Definitely one of my favourite spots

The manager and staff, especially the manager amy and holly both treat me with the upmost respect and care when I stop in to access their "too good to go" program for the lovely ladies at the local womens shelter, they are the most amazing and thoughful cafe workers and shop Ive ever encountered. They are a community beacon, other shops and businesses should start to adopt their practices and outreach to help upcycle leftover food! that way no one is hungry and no food goes to waste!
